Relief Action Network for IDPs and Refugees (RANIR) was set up in July 2011 after the resumed war between Myanmar Tatmadaw and Kachin Independence Army (KIA) in June 2011 that broke the ceasefire agreement signed in 1994 by CSOs, NGOs, and religious organizations that are active in Kachin Independence Organization Control Area (KCA).
Our Mission
RANIR as an organization, continues providing need-based and impartial humanitarian support to IDPs and host communities, hand in hand with the RANIR network, to reduce their suffering and to support their well-being. RANIR also researches and collects IDP data,

Kachin State and the Northern Shan State, local host communities and IDPs live in a peaceful and prosperous society.


Goal
Suffering of IDPs and refugees are minimized, and their welfare is improved through providing humanitarian assistance with the supportive and coordinated action of the different relief groups.
